One of the charges of the Provost’s Committee on Artificial Intelligence is to draft and propose policies about AI usage, both academically and administratively.
Academic
The , approved by both faculty councils as of Spring 2025, allows faculty the freedom to decide to what extent, if any, they allow AI usage in their courses, and includes sample syllabus statements they can use or amend for their syllabi.
Pace's AI Appropriate Use Policy for Faculty, Staff, and Students
All members of the Ä¢¹½tv community should review and follow the Use of AI Tools section of the IT Appropriate Use Policy when using artificial intelligence for academic, administrative, or University-related work. The policy outlines requirements for protecting University data, using approved tools, disclosing AI use when required, reviewing AI-generated output, and using AI responsibly and securely.
